MonkeyCode (Free Cloud AI Coding Platform)
Chaitin Tech
A free cloud AI coding platform usable right after phone signup — base-tier models (deepseek-v4-flash / kimi-k2.5 / minimax-m2.5 / qwen3.5-plus) come with 10 million free tokens per day, refreshed daily and not cumulative
The official benefits-adjustment announcement (monkeycode.docs.baizhi.cloud, effective 2026-08-19 at midnight, page last updated 11 days ago, verified 2026-08-30) states verbatim: 'Due to rising costs of large-model services such as DeepSeek, and to keep sustaining MonkeyCode's service quality and experience, the platform is adjusting the daily free quota for free-tier users... effective 8/19 at 0:00... the daily free quota for free users is adjusted to 10 million tokens,' with subscriber benefits unaffected. The official pricing page (monkeycode-ai.com) shows the same figures for its '¥0, free forever' Basic tier: 10 million tokens/day, a 1-core/4GB cloud dev environment, 1 concurrent task, base-tier models only, and no bonus points. The same docs site's 'Quota Explained' page (last updated 2 months ago, not yet synced with the 8/19 announcement) still lists the old figure of 30 million tokens/day for free users — not used in this entry. The Pro tier (¥99/mo, 100 million tokens/day across base + pro models) and Ultra tier (¥499/mo, 300 million tokens/day across base + pro + flagship models) are consistent across the 'Quota Explained' page and the more recently updated 'Benefits Upgrade at a Glance' page (updated 12 days ago, in the same batch as the 8/19 announcement), and both are adopted. The specific per-tier model roster follows the more current 'Benefits Upgrade at a Glance' page (see the models field); Pro- and Ultra-tier models are for paying members only and don't count toward this entry's free quota. The daily quota resets every day and doesn't carry over; once exhausted, points can be used to call non-exclusive models or top up quota (points: 5,000 per invited friend who registers, uncapped, credited instantly, valid long-term — in effect since May 9, 2026; 100 points for daily check-in; bug-report and community-content activities carry further point rewards starting at 10k, and points can also be purchased outright). The 'roughly ¥200 / 20k-point' signup bonus circulating in secondhand sources does not appear in the text of the official announcement, quota, points, or individual-registration pages, and is not adopted or reflected in this entry.
A product from Chaitin Tech (Beijing Chaitin Technology Co., Ltd., unified social credit code 91110108306465820T); its documentation site's footer carries the company's official ICP filing, and its 'related products' section lists it alongside Chaitin's own Safeline WAF and corporate site. It's open-sourced on GitHub as chaitin/MonkeyCode (AGPL-3.0, 4.6k+ stars), with a companion CLI project, chaitin/monkeycode-cli. The product is a browser-based cloud dev environment — both quota and points are consumed inside the platform, and it does not issue an API key you can export for use outside it (the official docs only cover the reverse direction: importing your own external model keys into MonkeyCode). The official docs explicitly warn that opening the invite link and completing registration must happen in the same browser throughout — switching browsers partway through can cause the invite code to be lost and the points to never arrive. The free quota was already cut to a third of its previous size on 2026-08-19 (from 30 million to 10 million tokens/day) due to rising upstream model costs, and further tightening is possible — worth keeping an eye on the official announcements page. The phone-verification-plus-basic-identity-verification signup requirement comes from multiple hands-on tests in August 2026 by third parties, not from explicit official documentation.
