Trial quota table from the official "Billing Overview - Doubao Speech" doc (last updated 2026.08.20): Doubao streaming speech recognition model 2.0, Doubao recorded-file recognition model 2.0, large-model streaming speech recognition, large-model recorded-file recognition (including express and off-peak editions), the Doubao Speech Minutes model, streaming speech recognition, one-sentence recognition, audio/video subtitle generation, and automatic subtitle timing all get 20 hours; recorded-file recognition (including express) standard and express editions get 20 hours each; Doubao speech synthesis model 2.0 / Doubao voice cloning model 2.0 / large-model speech synthesis / large-model voice cloning get 20000 characters each; speech synthesis gets 20000 calls; premium long-text speech synthesis standard and emotional editions get 10000 characters each; Doubao audio generation model 1.0 gets 60 minutes; the Doubao end-to-end real-time speech large model, simultaneous interpretation large model, speech podcast large model, and machine translation model get 1 million tokens each (input and output not distinguished). All of the above are valid for half a year. Official statement: when you click the [Trial] button on the console page of the corresponding speech capability, you get a certain amount of free call quota; the usage amount, scope, validity, and other details of the trial quota are as shown on the console claim page; trial quota becomes invalid once it is used up, the trial expires, or the service is activated as a formal edition.
Trial and service activation must be turned on manually in the Doubao Speech console; it is not credited automatically at sign-up, and each capability must be claimed separately by clicking "Trial". Official reminder: Volcano Engine reserves the right to deal directly with malicious requests against free trial services without prior notice. The quota figures come from the doc table, and the console claim page is what counts (the official text asks for the same). Activating cloud services on a Volcano Engine account usually requires real-name verification.
