Notion Education Plan (free for students and educators)

Students and educators who sign in with a school email can upgrade to the Education Plan for free (one-member workspace): unlimited pages and blocks, unlimited file uploads, 30-day page history, and site publishing

Official Education page FAQ verbatim: "The Education Plan for individual students is a free plan for a one-member workspace. It's available for students signed in with their education institution's email per the WHED." "With the Education Plan, students can organize plans, tasks and notes across school and life with unlimited pages & blocks, file uploads, more features to customize and publish your site, and 30-day version history." Official pricing page FAQ: "The Plus Plan (with a 1-member limit) is free for students and educators." Official help center: student organizations can apply separately for a free workspace with unlimited members.

⚠️Only students and educators at accredited colleges and universities (as listed in the World Higher Education Database, WHED) qualify; K-12 students and educators do not, but can use the Free plan. The school email must be the main email on the Notion account, an extra address does not count; you must re-verify once a year with the school email, and without a valid education email the workspace drops back to the Free plan. The official pages do not say the Education Plan includes Notion AI; check the official pages for paid AI features. Reachability from mainland China was not tested.
