After real-name verification and opening the OCR console, free test resources are granted automatically per API: General OCR (Standard) 1000 calls per month, General OCR High-Accuracy with location 500 per month, ID card, bank card, business license, driving license and license plate recognition 1000 per month each, document parsing 200 pages; enterprise verification doubles the quota for most APIs (document parsing is 200 pages for both individuals and enterprises)
The official "Free test resources" document (updated 2026-09-11) lists individual vs enterprise verification per API: General OCR Standard, Standard with location and High-Accuracy are 1000 calls/month for individuals and 2000/month for enterprises; High-Accuracy with location, Table OCR V2 and Handwriting OCR are 500/month for individuals and 1000/month for enterprises; digit recognition, ID card, bank card, business license, driving license, vehicle license and license plate recognition are 1000/month for individuals and 2000/month for enterprises; Smart structuring is 200 for individuals and 500 for enterprises; document parsing is 200 pages for both; passport, social security card, household register, invoices and most other card and document APIs are 200 for individuals and 500 for enterprises (entries without "per month" are read as one-time). Official wording: after opening the OCR service and completing real-name verification you automatically receive each API's free test resources; monthly quotas that are not used up do not roll over to the next calendar month; both successful and failed calls consume quota.
Requires a Baidu AI Cloud account with completed real-name verification (individual or enterprise). The quota is issued about 10 minutes after you enter the console; open a ticket if it does not appear. For APIs not marked "per month" (such as Smart structuring and most card and document APIs) the official table is read as one-time, so check the resource list in the console. After the free quota you must enable pay-as-you-go or buy a resource pack, otherwise calls stop; concurrency is not guaranteed without paid activation. This is a classic OCR API, not an LLM.
