Activate Tencent Cloud speech recognition and get a free monthly resource pack: 10 hours of recorded-file recognition, 5 hours of real-time speech recognition, 5 hours of express recorded-file recognition, 5 hours of async audio-stream recognition, and 5000 one-sentence recognitions, issued on the 1st of each month and valid for that month only

Official "Speech Recognition Billing Overview" verbatim: as long as you have activated the following speech recognition services, whether you choose prepaid or postpaid billing, they all come with a free call allowance, delivered as a free resource pack and deducted first at billing settlement. Allowances: recorded-file recognition 10 hours per month, real-time speech recognition 5 hours per month, one-sentence recognition 5000 calls per month, express recorded-file recognition 5 hours per month, async audio-stream recognition 5 hours per month. If you activate the service for the first time in a month, the free resource pack is issued on the day of activation; after that it is issued from the 1st of each month; the pack only takes effect once issued and is valid for that month only. Hours are counted as successfully recognized audio duration, and call counts as successful recognitions. Deduction order is free allowance, then prepaid, then postpaid; since May 2022, postpaid is off by default for all newly activated users, so once the free allowance and prepaid packs run out the service stops automatically and no bill is generated.

⚠️The monthly allowance resets to zero each month and does not roll over. The official billing overview splits the product into basic and large-model editions; the free-allowance table above lists the basic services, and the page does not say whether large-model recognition has a free allowance too, so go by the console. Postpaid is off by default for new users (official wording), so you will not be charged unless you turn it on yourself; older users (activated before May 2022) have postpaid on by default and will automatically move into billing once they exceed the free allowance, so turn it off in the console yourself. Activating cloud products in the Tencent Cloud console usually requires real-name verification first.
