Mistral La Plateforme (Experiment free tier)

The Experiment free tier covers all models, rate-limited to roughly 1 request/second and 500,000 TPM per model, with a monthly total on the order of 1 billion tokens

Requires one-time phone verification (anti-abuse; not limited to mainland China numbers, most international numbers work). Data may be used for training by default; you can disable data sharing under Settings → Privacy in the console. The official pricing page no longer lists this free tier — check console.mistral.ai for actual quota. For evaluation/prototyping only, not production use.

⚠️A monthly quota on the order of 1 billion tokens is unusually generous for a free tier — even heavy individual use is unlikely to hit the ceiling. However, Mistral recently removed this free tier from the main pricing page (it's now console-only), so verify actual figures in your dashboard after signing up.
