No additional setup is required." The pricing table also has an OSS plan. Private repositories are not covered: the Essentials plan is $30 per user per month ($24 billed annually), and all paid plans include a 14-day free trial.

⚠️Only public repositories are covered; private repositories cost money. The official page gives no review count or rate limit for the open-source plan. GitLab accounts work too, but the threshold tags only have a github-account tier, so it is classified there as the closest fit. Reachability of GitHub / CodeRabbit from mainland China was not tested.
