AWS Bedrock (new-account credits)
AWS
AWS accounts created after 2025-07-15 get a $200 general-purpose cloud credit ($100 on signup, another $100 for completing onboarding tasks), valid for 6 months, usable toward Bedrock model calls
Bedrock has no permanent free tier independent of this — it's billed at standard rates from the very first API call. The $200 is AWS's general new-account credit, shared across 200+ services and not exclusive to Bedrock; it must be used within this 6-month window, after which it's forfeited. Registration requires linking a valid payment method for identity verification (no charge during verification). Eligible startups can separately apply to AWS Activate for up to $200,000 in credits (covering Bedrock/SageMaker), subject to a separate review.
The 6-month window is longer than either Azure's or GCP's, but this is still a 'general-purpose cloud credit' rather than an AI-specific free tier. The biggest draw is that Claude-series models are available on Bedrock — well-suited to developers already in the AWS ecosystem who want to try Claude/Nova alongside it; not recommended to open an account solely for this credit.
