Alibaba Cloud Machine Translation General Edition Monthly Free Quota (1 million characters)

The Alibaba Cloud Machine Translation General Edition main account gets 1 million free characters per month (shared with sub-accounts), and usage beyond that is billed at RMB 50 per million characters

Verbatim from the official "Machine Translation General Edition Pricing" page: 1. Postpaid price: the main account gets a free allowance of one million characters per month (sub-accounts share the main account's monthly free allowance), and usage beyond the free allowance is billed at RMB 50 per million characters. 2. Resource pack price: prepaid requires buying a resource pack, with specs from ten million characters (RMB 480) up to larger tiers, and the resource pack billing notes likewise state that the main account gets a free allowance of one million characters per month (shared by sub-accounts).

⚠️The monthly allowance is issued per month, and the official pricing page does not say whether the allowance accumulates across months, so it is conservatively treated as resetting monthly. Important: usage beyond the 1 million free characters per month is billed pay-as-you-go (RMB 50 per million characters); after you enable pay-as-you-go, keep an eye on usage in the console yourself, and do not enable postpaid overage if you want to avoid charges. This is a traditional machine translation API, not large-model translation. The official pricing page carries no update date. Activating cloud products on an Alibaba Cloud account usually requires real-name verification.
